August 17th 2009 by Tex Pine

    Introducing Guitar Idol!

Guitar Idol is a guitar/music game exclusive for Tectoy’s 2009 version of SEGA Genesis for the Brazilian market. This is the first time the Genesis console will have a guitar accessory. We are proud for being a part of this project developing the main title of the built-in 87 games collection (including classics like Sonic, Altered Beast and Golden Axe).

Guitar Idol was entirely developed from scratch, in Portuguese, with 2D visuals and a soundtrack that includes bands like Deep Purple and Mötorhead. The final result is very good, with beautiful graphics, lots of polish and constant frame-rate. Check below some screen-shots, and soon enough we will put the game in our gallery with videos. :)

Guitar Idol was co-developed with Tectoy Digital. Great people and great professionals!

We believe in Zeebo’s potential as a game platform that truly understands emerging markets and we would like to share our enthusiasm with our partners.
